The designer: Having trained at Central St. Martins, Chinese-born, London-based Zhang is known for his use of lace and pearl embellishments, an aesthetic honed while working in Dior’s haute couture atelier.
This season it’s about: Sorbet shades, metallic brocade, feathers and large ‘60s sequins nod to mod and imbue each look with his signature femininity—even a hoodie (in pink ruffles and with pearl drawstrings) is pretty and refined.
