Hey guys!! Are you as excited as I am for the Green White and Blue ball? Exactly a week away, I still do not have a dress yet, or have ANY idea what I want to wear!! I am always so last minute, but I am simply not worried because I know Mr Mohamed, my favorite tailor will whip up something for me. I was not sure if I wanted to do Africana this year or a couture gown, but I decided to still to my favorite printed mermaid dresses. Its always so fun and I have not tried anything with my new ombre…blonde hair color. Once again, I am thankful for having Joanna style these looks and Nana play my model for the day so I can share some fun looks for you guys!!

zChe first looks are cocktail dress styles. I totally love the pale green sheath dress. The embellished details around the neck and sleeves are to die for. The length is also quite appropriate for such an event. A beaded green clutch and pair or metallic silver Christian Louboutin completed the very sophisticated look.
This second cocktail dress look is quite sexy! I love the fact that it is strapless, and the length is also very appropriate for the event. What does it for me is the slit! Super sexy and sophisticated. I love the fact minimal jewelry is worn with just a necklace! I also love the embellished black blazer! Chic!!
This has to be my favorite look! I absolutely loved the deep blue. I love the straight silhouette of the gown. The sexy part of this dress is simply the fact that it is strapless. Totally an Audrey Hepburn look! That necklace is to die for too!
This next look is my Cinderella look! Its very cute, girl, and very sophisticated. I am drooling over the pastel yellow, the waistline embellishment and at the back is a super cute rose! Darling dress! The pointed toe hot pink heels added some fun color to it!
As you can already tell, I am totally biased to mermaid gowns. I think for women with more of a straight figure, it gives you the illusion of an hour glass. I love this hot pink dress, the neckline is classic like the Black Halo Jackie O dresses, the jeweled belt is also quite fun, and finally the color is simply gorgeous. This dress is actually still available for sale, so contact Joanna for more information!
Finally my favorite. African CHIC!!
You can take so many risks with African Printed fabrics, but for me, TWO important things! Please do NOT MIX fabric textures. Its so sad to see a beautiful African printed with a bad silk piece attached to it! Totally ruins it for me to be honest, so please please refrain from mixing fabrics and also, if its a floor length gown, make sure it covers your heels! Not only does it look elegant, it makes you look taller too! Here is Joanna and Nana sporting some fun styles.
