AMAL CLOONEY WOWS IN HER VERY FIRST AMERICAN INTERVIEW
She’s intelligent, savvy, and stylish.
And now, we get to see the woman who captured George Clooney’s heart up-close and personal.
Amal recently sat down on her first-ever American TV interview with NBC New’s Cynthia McFadden where she talked about her new-found celebrity status and how it is helping shed light to the causes she’s passionate about.
“I think it’s wonderful that celebrities would choose to spend their time or energy or the spotlight that they have to raise awareness about these causes,” she explained “I don’t really see myself in the same way because I’m still doing the same job that I used to before. If there’s more attention paid for whatever reason to that, then I think that’s good.”
“I think there is a certain amount of responsibility that comes with that and I think I’m exercising it in an appropriate manner by continuing to do this kind of work,” she added.
The celebrated human rights barrister has already met with several members of Congress including Senator John McCain and Senator Patrick Leahy, who have agreed to help her fight the case of former Maldives president Mohamed Nasheed who is currently in prison for terrorism charges.
